PANEL OF RETAILERS OF THE IMPULSE CHANNEL

The Panel of retailers of the Impulse Channel is a continous research of Clau Consultors that has as objective to give to manufacturers companies and distributors a thorough knowledge of the Impulse Channel, its behavior and evolution, in a constant and periodical process, by means of a specifically designed panel with this aim.

General features

The Panel is based on the data obtained in 100 establishments which are representative of the Impulse Channel universe: kiosks, stands and specialized stores in the sale of sweets, titbits, appetizers and nuts and other marketed products.

The products studied are the following: salty and sweet appetizers, candies, sweets and titbits, chewing gums, chocolates, nuts and other products for sale in the Impulse Channel.

The frequency is monthly (despite the fact that it is possible to obtain information with other frequencies). Visits to establishments are done monthly, during the first week of the following month and the results are delivered on the fifteenth working day of the month.

Field and control procedure

The field staff visits panelized establishments monthly on a fixed date and, through a previous inventory of all the studied references, purchases made by the retailer are registered through invoices issued by suppliers. In each wave, the clients indicate the references that should be registered.

A constant and systematic check is carried out on the size and representativity of the panelized sample, and of the statements made by the retailers, despite the fact that the basic information is obtained directly from the invoices of the manufacturer or distributor and by examining the coherence of the data and the evolution of the market.

From the use of the Impulse Channel Panel infrastructure various types of research is carried out, in a continous fashion with the aim of providing specific and operational answers to questions that can be posed by manufacturers:
